These notes are intended as a guide only and exact feeding amounts should be varied according to your ferret’s age, sex, condition and activity levels.
Vitalin Ferret can be fed to kits from as early as 3-4 weeks. During the first week we recommend feeding small quantities of food, softening with a little warm water and replenishing every few hours. Reduce the quantity of water throughout the week and feed dry from the second week onwards on a free feed basis.
Adults should be fed dry food on a free feed basis, but restrict food to 5% of their bodyweight if they become overweight. Pregnant or lactating jills should also be allowed to free feed.
When introducing Vitalin into your ferret’s diet we advise that this is done gradually over a period of 5-10 days until it replaces all other food. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
